Let’s Paint a Room Performance Task
This performance task is part of the Smarter Balanced Practice Test. The task stimulus presents a room to be painted. A visual representation of the room is provided, together with important dimensions. The task requires students to reason about the geometry of the room, and about the amount of time and amount of paint it will take to paint the room under different conditions. There are five items in the task. The task is designed to support students in building directly on their reasoning from earlier items of the task in order to complete later items of the task.
