Stack of Cups Performance Task
This performance task is part of the Smarter Balanced Practice Test. The task stimulus presents a picture, from a catalogue, of three stacks of cups of different heights. The task requires students to reason about the dimensions of the cups, and about the numbers of cups in stacks of different heights. There are five items in the task. The task is designed to support students in building directly on their reasoning from earlier items of the task in order to complete later items of the task, and there is an example of a possible scoring dependency in this task.
